13% of 2014’s Local Property Tax has already been collected!
The Revenue Comissioner, as of yet, had already collected 13% of the Local Property Tax by the end of November. This information was released in a Dail reply to Michael McGrath, finance spokesman – Fianna Fail
This reply disclosed that as much as 65,000,000 euro had been collected by Revenue Comissioners. It has been forecast that 500,000,000 euro will be collected in 2014.
Revenue was due criticism last month when it was revealed that people who paid the tax off via cheque, debit or credit cards would pay in November, despite the payment being due in 2014. However, if you had opted to pay through a single electronic bank payment were able to pay as late as 21/3/2014.
Revenue will enforce “deduction at source” and other means available to it, when they catch non-compliant property owners.
